I am inspired by artists such as Hannah Hoch, Salvador Dali and Amedeo Modigliani. Additional inspiration for my work, comes from the natural art which I find in everyday life... the billboards with torn posters, revealing layers of images and words merging together to form an image in it’s own right. I collect in a ‘magpie sense’ inspiration from anything.

During my time in Spain, I very much enjoyed visiting ‘el rastro’ (a large open air flea market) on a sunday morning, to see what treasures could be found after the traders had left.

Within my work, I try to capture the idea of sentiment and object - feeling that every image has a ‘preciousness’ in it’s own way... and every image holds a memory of some kind.
