Theme: Portraiture
From Realism to Reinvention
🗓 Course Dates: Wednesdays, 3rd–24th June, 2–4pm
📍 A Space to Meet, Main Street, Woodhouse Eaves
(Parking available behind the café)
This 4‑week block focuses on traditional portrait painting, guiding you from acrylic underpainting to richer, slower, more expressive oil techniques. Working from your own chosen photograph, you’ll learn how to build believable skin tones, map light and shadow, and create a confident, characterful likeness.
Please bring a colour photograph with strong contrast (clear lights and darks), printed at A4 if possible.
🌿 This is a nurturing space for all stages of creative journeying. Some come to refine, some to begin again. Gentle grounding practices may be woven in to support presence, connection, and a deeper appreciation of portraiture as both art and self‑reflection.
There will be a strong emphasis on developing your personal style, alongside opportunities for collaborative exploration. Together, we’ll grow, support, and create.
Price includes refreshments and a delicious snack.
