Connectedness

'We are so deeply interconnected; we have no option but to love all. be kind and do good for any one and that will be reflected. the ripples of the kind heart are the highest blessings of the universe.' Amit Ray

To be aware is to be connected. Whether human, animal or indeed plant. We are created to be connected spiritually, cognitively, physically, biologically wired to belong.

Research has shown those who feel connected to others have less anxiety. We know ourselves that a support system allows us to feel safe,heard, understood and in turn allows us to evolve into better humans, better people.

Our evolutionary advances have enabled us through connection, to solve conflicts and live in harmony.

Having a sense of community and belonging, creates purpose and allows us to embrace our positive qualities.

Feeling supported creates safety.

Increasing self-esteem and empathy.

This connection can be transformational.

Brené Brown writer and professor of social work at University of Houtsen wrote;

'Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they give and receive without judgement and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.'

Connectedness on community level has profound benefits for both society and the individual.
